About Me

Writer, Editor, Digital Storyteller.

A Manhattan-based multidisciplinary creative with a passion for community-driven storytelling.

The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent rise in hate crimes against Asian Americans nudged me toward a path of activism. At NextShark, the largest Asian American digital publication, I had the opportunity to work alongside a small but dedicated group of writers to report the countless incidents that fell under the radar. Our collective efforts aimed to lend our platform to those victims, to give voice to their experiences, which unfortunately, were hardly picked up by mainstream media.

In the midst of this turmoil, we began to see our communities find reprieve through pivotal moments in entertainment history, from when “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” broke new ground by introducing an Asian superhero into MCU’s legacy, to when “Squid Game” took global audiences by storm. I saw firsthand the transformative power that stories of representation could bring to marginalized groups.

I have since gone deeper into culture and entertainment writing, working with some of the biggest stars and studios in Hollywood to shape their stories in ways that unite and uplift the people they represent.
